One of our 4 corporate objectives is protecting and enhancing our environment, and we have committed to carbon neutrality by 2030 and to positively enhance the biodiversity value of 30% of our land and assets by 2030. We have also committed to taking a lead role in driving emissions reduction and nature recovery across Suffolk and our partners.
We work with district and borough councils to provide waste services which meet the needs of residents and businesses whilst minimising the cost and environmental impact. Alongside this, we deliver waste education programmes to 120 schools and community groups, constantly refine the recycling centre booking system to increase customer satisfaction, construct new recycling centres, and exercise proactive management of our contracts and contractors.
