Our ongoing transformation programme, Carbon Negative, Nature Positive, is a testament to the council's commitment. We understand that the impact of climate change can be devastating, which is why we are taking proactive measures to reduce our carbon impacts and enhance biodiversity across 30% of our estate.

To achieve our goal of being Net Zero Carbon by 2030, we are implementing a variety of green projects and initiatives across all our services, as part of a wider programme of work to transform the county of Suffolk.

Our Growth, Highways and Infrastructure services, are under constant pressure to meet green goals. However, we understand that every service across the council and directorates have a role to play in achieving our climate goals.

As part of our commitment to honesty, we make clear points and write in a direct way that people can trust. We encourage staff to join us in this important mission of fighting climate change and making a positive impact on our planet, and support all staff to contribute to this goal wherever they work in the council.
