Joint Emergency Planning Unit

Helping to handle emergencies swiftly, whilst providing assistance to the community in recovering from incidents.

The Joint Emergency Planning Unit (JEPU) was established in 2005 by all the Suffolk local authorities to provide emergency planning and business continuity planning services. As a focal point for civil emergency preparedness within Suffolk councils, JEPU is committed to ensuring that all emergency situations are handled with the utmost professionalism.

At JEPU, we understand the importance of providing a 24/7 out of hours duty service and initial emergency management capability. We know that during emergencies, time is of the essence, and our team is always on standby to respond to any situation that may arise.
