They work with a variety of professionals, the management team, team managers, social workers, assessors and many others within the overall Adult Social Care Service. There are multiple small, professional, friendly teams that operate across the County in various office locations. The business and finance teams are responsible for the sound financial management of staffing and care purchasing budgets across the localities, Learning Disability and Mental Health and Home First.
They act as the first point of contact for customers and care providers, answering queries; working within financial systems and regulations.
Using multiple systems, they ensure that information is accurate and accessible. They are responsible for adding and issuing individual service contracts for each customer, starting charges, and managing payments to strict deadlines.
They ensure that all business-as-usual functions are completed and that business continuity plans are ready and in place.
